I love monochrome! So rather than showing more color images, I thought it would be a good idea, to show some of my favorite b/w shots from the states.
The image above is a cityscpae from Boston. We followed the Freedom Trail through Boston, and this is the bridge near the Converse headquarter. Chuck's Bridge?
This another one of my favorites, a lonely sea gull in heart of Boston.
A very minimalist shot of the concrete jungle
Something with a bit more drama! Another shot from the Freedom trail, I love the sun flare in this one!
An old crane by the harbour. This thing somehow reminded me of those imperial walkers from Star Wars...ok, it doesn't have laser cannons....but it somehow looks like one. I think...
Something a bit less dramatic, tuna trophies on a shed in Gloucester harbour MA.
We did a whale watching tour from Boothbay Harbour, see my last post, and the weather was just perfect. It was warm, very diffused, soft light, there was still fog over the water, so this is pretty much an out of camera image, it had very little processing. I must try and print it.
A little island near Boothbay harbour
The next image was taken in Old Orchard Beach, Maine. I got up early and got the sunrise right behind the pier.
The final image for today is from Vermont. We came through Vermont on our way from Maine to New York. I loved it! I hope to go back to Vermont one day....
That was the first part of monochrome America, next stop...New York!
