The last couple of days have been brilliant! We had fantastic weather, I had a bit of time, and the light was just good. Where do I start? OK, let's start with Friday evening. I went out to a little pier not far from our house, Tarrea Pier. Tarrea is a small harbour that's mostly used by local fisherman. And it's home to the queen...The Queen of Eddy
I don't think she will ever be back in the water...
The one thing I really like about Tarrea Pier are the concrete structures, the slip ways. There is something about those lines...
Saturday, day 2.
I was out and about in Galway on Saturday, mostly shooting stills for a time lapse video I'm working on with friends from Galway Camera Club.
Walking around the Claddagh I saw someone playing a violin near the Corrib. After watching her for some time, I finally plucked up the courage to aks her, whether I could photograph her? And thankfully...she said yes!
Meet Mariko from Hyōgo in Japan:
Technically the picture isn't a 100% perfect, but...I'm back in the game! I love taking street portraits, and thanks to Mariko, I hope to take some more in the next couple of weeks! Thanks Mariko!
And then there was the sax player on the Prom who wants to stay anonymous...
unday morning, 8am, Silverstrand...a lone photographer
I met her on Silverstrand, it was a cold yet beautiful morning, the light was very soft...the kind of mixed light, that's just perfect for a portrait, like its coming fro a giant softbox. So I photographed her, but didn't get her name...I didn't ask for it...and that's ok
