Week 14 - Drift racing in Tynagh, part 2

I decided to skip week 13 and go straight on to week 14.... Ok, I'm joking, we were away for a couple of days and I did'nt bring the camera with me. Anyway, time for another blog! I was back in Tynagh over the weekend to photograph another round of the IGR championship series. And this time, I'm really happy with the results!

Blue skies! The weather was definitely  better than the constant drizzle we had to put up with the last time

My personal favorite, it's an old.....Daihatsu...? I'm really not exactly sure what it is, but by god he was fast.

Looks good in b/w, doesn't it?

Pink smoke!

Those two were fantastic together!

An old BMW E30 with a burbling V8? Yes please!

And that's it for the moment, I'll upload a few more images into the gallery in the next couple of days. As always thanks for looking, leave a comment if you like the post, or even better, share this blog post.

Week 12 - Pat Stapleton - best barber in the world

Stuck in Limerick, looking for a good barber? May I introduce you to Pat Stapleton....Best barber in the world!

You find Pat's salon right on O'Connell street in the heart of Limerick. Just look for the sign

The salon itself on the third floor. Ad the journey upstairs is actually rather interesting

Pat trained as a barber in 1945, which makes him the longest practising barber in Ireland.

I'd describe  the salon as ...old world style. And that's fine with me, because all I want is... a good haircut!

Until next week!

Week 6 - The Galway Rally 2015

A quick post today, because I want to go back to Gort later on to see more of the Galway rally. I was in and around Gort for a couple of hours yesterday, and here is what I came back with:

Ze Germans are here:) Team Koelle/Hutzfeldt from Germay in their Porsche 911.

There were quite a few old Porsche's at the rally

Another classic in action.

Time for a service

Mrs Brown's Boys.....

That lovely old 911 again.....retro style:)

Week 1

Here we go, the first week of 2015 is almost over, time for a look back. I didn't get out much, but finally made it out with camera yesterday. I met up with a couple of fellow photographers and we went for a lilttle walk around  Galway.

And, surprise, surpise, I actually came back with some good photos!

Galway Cathedral reflecting in the water of the canal. The reddish tree really makes the shot. To be honest, I was a little surprised that I got some shots, because usually meet ups with other photographers  are all about the exchanging of ideas....or you could say...a cup of tea and hours of talk about photo gear:)

I went to the harbour later on, to try out my new 35mm lens in low light. And it rocks! It makes lovely light stars.

The fun fair is still on and I couldn't resist.....

And that's it for this week, lots of color, probably a bit too much color...but hey, it's pretty grey out there. I have some black and white shots week...until the, thanks for looking at the blog!
