I recently went for a walk around Slieve Carran in the Burren National Park. Slieve Carran, also known by its English name, Eagle's Rock, is located near the village of Carron in the heart of the Burren National Park. My plan was to do a bit of landscape photography in the Burren, maybe get some macro shots of flowers and to have a look at the holy well on foot of Slieve Carran. I found the holy well after a couple of minutes, but even so the place is quite magical, the light was very poor at the time.
So I decided to concentrate more on the landscape around the hill. I took me about 30min to climb, or should I say, walk up Slieve Carran. But as it turned out, I wasn't alone on the mountain.
I had met feral or wild goats before in the Burren, but this was quite a big herd. I counted about 30 animals. After they had noticed me, they started to slowly move away from me and then stopped again. I followed them for around an hour, took dozens of pictures of them, and just enjoyed watching them.
I uploaded several shots from the day in the landscape and wildlife section of the page.
