Tuscany - Part 1

We recently returned form a one week trip to the Tuscany region of Italy. Ok, actually we returned some time ago, but I simply didn't have the time to process anything or update the blog.

What can I say about Tuscany, Florence and Siena that hasn't been said already? It's an amazing region! It offers  everything, culture, beautiful landscapes, great food, friendly people...Ok, I better stop before I get too carried away.

The Duomo is the building that really dominates the city of Florence.

The problem with the Duomo is though, it's so big, it's actually hard to photograph it.

Here is one shot I got in the evening.

But Florence is of course more then just the Duomo....and that famous bridge. Florence is simply full with people. Locals and tourists, the city seems to be always busy.

And then there is of course the art. The Uffizi museum is one of world's most important art collections, there are always long ques outside, yet this guy seems to have found a quite spot to read the paper...

This one of my personal favorites! The place outside the Uffizi is usually packed with people, so I had to wait quite a while to get this shot. The guy in the photo is a cartoonist who was waiting for customers.

Another b/w photo from outside the Uffizi.

Another photo that I really like, two nuns walking in Florence.

And that's it for today. I'll post more images from Florence in the next couple of days. So long, and thanks for looking. Leave a comment, share the page, spread the word...Thanks, Andreas.
