Andreas Riemenschneider, the proud owner of Doorusphoto, is originally from northeastern Germany but has found his permanent home in Ireland since 2001. He is based in the picturesque town of Kinvara, County Galway.
As a landscape photographer, the location is a dream come true. Over the years, his passion for landscape photography has evolved into a commercial venture encompassing fine art photo printing, photo restorations, and artwork reproduction. He also provides personalised services such as family and professional portraits, custom engagement shoots, and unique wedding packages.
Andreas holds a special passion for fine art photo printing. He believes that while the entire photographic process is enjoyable, the final stage of printing on high-quality papers is the most crucial part.
His work has been published in The Irish Times, Clare Champion, Irish Farmers Journal, and the Guide to the Wild Atlantic Way. His images also appear across numerous websites. He has covered various events such as the Tour de Burren, Connemara Marathon, Kinvara Rock and Road, the Streets of Galway, and the Sunrise Children’s Festival.
Closer to home, he has provided photography for many businesses in Kinvara such as the Lobster Bar and Seafood restaurant as well as Fox’s of Kinvara. Over the last few years, he has notably collaborated with Celtic Fusion Design, an Irish fashion brand based in the West of Ireland.
In 2021-2022, Andreas had the privilege of working extensively with ocean rower Karen Weekes during her “SheCanDo” campaign, further enriching his diverse portfolio. He also had the opportunity to work with the French fashion brand Polene as a location scout during their campaign shoot in the West of Ireland.
Andreas has also worked extensively with local musicians and artists, providing promotional photography and album art, showcasing his versatility and commitment to supporting the local arts scene.
